redline differential oil question

Redline says that their lightweight shockproof gear oil has similar properties to 75w90 gear oil but only works where the differential is at "lower temperatures."

Has anyone used the shock proof in their diff, and does anyone know if an autocrossed 8.8" rear end counts as "low temperature?"
