Well, with the track finally open again, I made the sojourn last night since it was nice and nippy out. This is the first time I've been back since my new tires, running 11.6 PSI, and with the custom tune me and Andy worked on.
Previous best was:
60FT = 2.20
1/8ET = 8.85
1/8MPH = 83.35
New best:
60FT = 2.17
1/8ET = 8.55
1/8MPH = 86.72
This was much closer to the time I always thought the car could run, but I think there is still a bit more it could do. The best run was the very first run, IE: I drove the 40 minutes to the track, dropped off a buddy and went right to the staging lanes with no cool down time and a very modest brake torque. I'm begining to think though that my Pirelli P-Zero Nero's aren't to great when they get hot becaue my traction and hence times got worse as the night went on. I guess they are truly a street performance tire becaue I wasn't really heating them up all that much, just enough to get the water off, but I continued to have traction problems from then on. On my last run, I was even breaking lose half way down the track so I decided that was a good time to calll it a night
In addition, since it was just Test and Tune night, track prep was pretty crappy. So it looks like there is a definate possibility with a cool motor, cool tires, and better track prep that it can do a sub 8.5

I don't think any of them were above .5, but I was mostly concentrating on getting different rpms to launch from.

dont worry reaction time doesnt have anything to do with how fast your car is but if you take off after mark for example idiots in the stands will have the grand illusion that he is faster lol
