I bought the accufab eclipse throttle body and ported my intake manifold to fit it. installed the throttle body as planned and everything went smoothly. next start the car right...well rpms jumped to 2000-2200 and then settled to 1200-1300rpms. figured computer needed to reset so i let it run for a while and even drove it down the street and back, well no luck. check the throttle position sensor and it was at .97 so that was normal. checked blade at idle and it was closed; any suggestions??? please help!!!

Aftermarket throttlebodies many times gives you idle problems. Take it and get a good Dyno tune(not a mail order tune). I'm planning on just having my TB ported when I start modding that area of my car.

I don't know if the Cobra throttle bodies are anything like the 5.0L TBs, but on my Accufab (and all other 5.0 TBs), there is an idle adjust screw that you can screw in or out to adjust the idle.
If your throttle body has that, that is most likely the cause.

i took it to dpr performance of el cajon...pretty reputable place, and they said it was something mechanical cuz they couldn't figure it out...i think it might be because i ported and polished intake manifold and heads. so running a bigger tb will only cause too much air intake for my set up. either change fuel system out and computer to accomodate for the higher cfm or use stock tb. so if any one is looking for an accufab eclipse tb with receipt i will sell for what i bought it for including the shipping.
thanx

also clean your maf it can alter idle and your idle bypass valve on the upper intake can make the idle off (round cylinder thing generally near the TB)

im pretty sure my accucrap one had it as well.
i got sick of the sticky throttle feel after a WOT romp thusly i just sold it and went back to stock. really no need for a single-blade tb/plenum setup with just a simple pulley swap.

OK, my Tb kinda sticks and pops open, but only at the pedal. when you open the TB manualy at the blade its smooth as silk but when you use the pedal it pops open, any ideas. I checked to make sure the clamp isent to tight and I removed the cable to make sure it wasent the TB.
