Well, went to a local 1/8th mile track. It seems if you can hook there you can hook anywhere. I ran a best of 10.22 all day, all I could squeeze out of her. Kinda sucks...but O well, I had a good time at least.
I did beat a hemi ram twice, an integra a few times, an older civic a few times, an 05? civic SI several times. Overall, it was a fun day.
I have slips somewhere around here, I think they're still in the car.

You're right...a 10.22 does suck...unless you leave out the 1/8th mile part. lol
And Damn, how many times did you run?

10.2 is actually not that bad for an auto v6 like yours, most are around 10.7-11.0 stock.
I ran a 10.2 with a 2.2 60ft but it was on the run I broke my rear end in my old 01

No...it sucks because Brad said it sucks. I really have no idea since I don't know what is and isn't good in the 1/8th as I have never been to an 1/8th track. lol

9.0 is around a 14.0 (in a 99-04 GT stang) if that helps any its kind of hard to convert as every car is different~ 10.0 is right on the border of 14.9/15.0

I've seen 1.56 as a common conversion factor. The NHRA uses 1.6.
So a 10.0 would be a 15.6 or a 16.0. It's been said before, though...it all depends on the car.

*edit* I posted it like this for my own help, trying to compare these runs by what I did side by side*
Also, all the runs were with a quick spin to clean off the tires, pulling around the water box, and launching from just before tire spin.
I ran a total of 15 times yesterday, tried to run a 5 speed 03 V6 but he kept backing out b/c he was scared of my car lol.
The majority of these races were hot laps, I only stopped when I did stuff to the car pretty much. Gotta say, for having a little over 87k on the car, it sure is reliable.
When I first got there I had about 5 gallons of 87 octane on the 87 performance tune. All 4 tires were at 32 psi.
1st run:
2.454 60
10.309 1/8
75.12 mph
2nd run:
2.454 60
10.356 1/8
75.25 mph
3rd run:
2.459 60
10.379 1/8
74.62 mph
At this point I figured I'd see what I could do to cut the time down. First thing I did was get a gallon of 115 and added it in the tank with the 5 gallons of 87. Dunno exactly what that bumped me up to but I put it on the 93 performance tune.
4th run:
2.399 60
10.268 1/8
75.24 mph
I then bumped the rear psi down to 30 (just for the hell of it)
5th run I ran a hemi truck and it didn't record anything in my line but my reaction which was a .792. He ran a 10.353 and I walked him.
6th run:
2.407 60
10.211 1/8 (best run of the day)
75.88 mph
7th run:
2.437 60
10.260 1/8
75.63 mph
8th run:
2.415 60
10.234 1/8
75.63 mph
I pulled the passenger headlight out here just to see if it would do any good (I was desperate for anything lower)
9th:
2.420 60
10.250 1/8
76.14 mph
10th:
2.462 60
10.287 1/8
75.63 mph
11th:
.937 reaction (I fell asleep lol)
2.486 60
10.332 1/8
75.63 mph
12th:
2.472 60
10.323 1/8
75.63 mph
13th: closest race of my night, lost by .165 to a civic on dr's
.585 reaction
2.427 60
10.227 1/8
76.01 mph
14th:
2.522 60
10.383 1/8
74.99 mph
Ran a 15th run but the times were down, after that the crowd got big so I left.
Overall I was pretty dissappointed with the times. I was expecting at least an even 10 or maybe a high 9. I guess gears are next...
Should be running a 1/4 track next time I go home.
Gotta love the tracks around here. 12 bucks to run, run as much as you want, no tech inspection, everyone is drunk lol. You don't even have to show a license or anything down here.

Yup. That's a good southern track. 1/8th mile, no tech, and beer.

I think I've reached the limit of the car now. Traction wasn't a problem, just all the car would do. Time for more mods now.

Hmm..I've never had to show a license to run at the track...neither here nor in NY.
The only tech I have had was being told I needed a helmet...
And, you need to come over to the meet at least for 1 of the days so you can run kyle. He might have an 8.8 by then (found one for him from an 01 gt for $250 locally) or at least 4.10s. Need to settle this kind of like the Dark vs Mark deal.

take off the heavy 18s for some stockers with good tires for traction out back and you should run a bit quicker

That's the problem lol. I have the stockers, and I have tires...just nothing worth crap. The tires are good for donuts. I believe next thing will be gears and a locker, then a set of dr's on the stockers.

Well I know some of the larger tracks require it for safety reasons. I didn't see anyone with helmets out there...including the fast cars. Most of the motorcycles didn't either lol.
And yeh, I'll run em. If he has a rear, let me know...I can get it done by then.
