had my first shot at a dragstrip with the mustang yesterday... went well, and i was pretty consistent, surprisingly.
Best time: 9.441
best R/T .545 (non-pro tree, cant remember the name)
best 60 ft. - 2.345 (2500-3k slip, w/ about 28lb of air in the tires.)
Best MPH - 82, something or other - i was told the mph was off, so im not really sure.
Will post all my numbers later on when i can get all my timeslips in-hand
How do those numbers look for what i have?
86 GT with 3.73's, electric fan, full interior(spare/jack included) no cats, with flowmasters. Im runnin Hankook k104's on 96 cobra wheels.
Cant figure out how to get a better 60ft... its buggin me to death. will post videos soon too.

just gotta practice and figure out what works on the 60ft. Testing different rpms etc etc to find the sweet spot. That time isnt to bad for that 60ft, that puts you around mid/low 14s depending~

I saw in one of the other threads it is a 1.56 conversion...and NHRA uses a 1.6 conversion.

Spector, thanks for teh advice... i jsut gotta get out and practice it some more - may be a few weeks before i try it again, just because im saving as much funds as i can for the autocross school ive got coming up at the end of the month... I was guestimating around 14.5-.8, but ive got to get the car to breathe better to get any quicker - its falling on its face about 4500 in 3rd, which is about 50-100 ft from the traps.
By the way, has anyone ever expressed their complete distaste for the stock t5 shifter? I think its the biggest piece of garbage ive ever used. Oh well.. save up for the MGW ive been wanting...
Brad, its ok, man... you busted plenty of ass yesterday - Hemi, what?

see tiff? you shoulda come with! It was a lot of fun.
slvr, he really was behind the 8 ball... his car is pretty quick for the v6's around here, and quicker than a lot of the lightly modded imports too. Brad, i think you did pretty well...

Thanks, Monte... Not bad for a stock motor and small exhaust!
1996, Why so low? I usually run about 30-35 when i am out on the street... Been known to run more when i autocross - less sidewall flex

I really wanted to, but there wasn't any way I was gonna get there as I was still stuck with my parents for most of the day, and when I made it back home here, it was too late to even bother.

[QUOTE=A5295;388266]Thanks, Monte... Not bad for a stock motor and small exhaust!
He beat me in and 05 GT when we ran head to head...of course, I was asleep at the wheel apparently...His R/T was .565s or so and Mine was right at 1s flat...and then I decided to miss a shift trying to play catch up....lol I got owned....it happens...by the way, you're supposed to go on green, not when the other car goes, aint that right mike? lol
I want a re-match!!! lol

oh, and its on the last yellow on that particular tree...if you go on green, you'll be running .7-8's at least... just ask the other chris that was out there.
