I had a FM transmitter on the Sirius radio in the Formula Firebird I was driving and it sucked bad. Some parts of town I would get a radio station instead of the signal from the satellite.

i wired my ipod with the Harmon Kardon plug and play. it's an Fm transmitter that can be wired or wireless. i got mine hardwired and don't have any interferrence in Houston. a little white noise, but that's it. if you go wireless, all bets are off. wired is the way to go.

Hey will, what headunit do you have right now? You might have an accessory plug already in the back that you can connect to.
To be honest, you will run into some problems with a FM transmitter just like scratched cd's, and it will probably piss you off just as much.

which one are you talking about? i had the transpod fm which is wireless and it was alright if you didn't mind looking down to see what was on screen. with what i have now, the screen is right behind my steering wheel on the right is at the perfect level. and the controls are right in front of my shifter so there is no reaching.

Go buy one from a retail chain, save the reciept, try it out for a couple of days, and if you don't like it, take it back.

It all depends on the deck/car.
It sucked in my GT with the mach460. It worked awesome with our Tahoe, Neon, Thunderbird (all those with stock decks) and my cobra with a Alpine deck. I gave it to my sister as well as the iPod, shit i just realized i pretty much give my sister everything (she got the tbird too). fucking freeloader.
anyways yeah. buy it and take it back if it doesnt work.
