I just bought some 18" ADR wheels (front-18X8.5 and rear-18X9.5) for my 97 mustang, but i'm not too sure what size tires i need to put on my car without worry of rubbing or anything. Also i want them to look good, not too big or anything. Anyone got any idea what i might nee??

What size are the wheels?

18x7, 8, 9, 10

This will be the biggest thing to look at on tire size.

265/35/18s for the front and 295/35/18 or 305/30/18 for the rear.

normally you run a 275 on a 9 inch but since you have an 8.5 a 265 would work great and overall its the right height. For the rear a 295 will probably be the best bet but a 305 works a bit better when you do the math (but not much difference really)

there is no point to doing them all the same if you paid the cash for larger rims out back, if you want to do that then send back two of the rims and get the same size all round.

you also wont be able to rotate so you will need to keep an eye on the alignment and adjust as needed. Also keep the air pressure at around 32-34psi to help the tires wear right.

look at yokahoma avs es100s they are a great tire for the money. I hope you have priced some cuz that size tire is quite expensive when you start going abouve a 275/35/18

The 94-98s can actually fit a huge wheel out back. A 10.5" wheel with a 315 is pretty standard. I wouldn't go any bigger than 275s on a 9" up front though.

Good call....above is my exact combo and i don't have rubbing issues, even lowered 1.5 inches....so the tire sizes they recomended will work just fine.

with a 245 wheel and that width tire, if you go 245 and 225s for tires, expect some serious curb rash, they are WAY too narrow for your car

listen to these guys when they tell yea to go bigger for the wheels, even if it means you need to get spacers, otherwise, you are going to be spending even more time and money trying to replace the wheels that you have because they got screwed. those size tires that you want are no good for your wheels--spend the extra money and get good tires.

What ever, That would be like me saying your car was 6" to tall with your 17's without seeing it in person. I was just telling the guy what worked for me.

By the way, I do wish I put 10's on the back. I still have room.
