Don't anyone else sometimes feel a kind of grind when releasing the clutch? It's not really slippage or anything like that. Sometimes it's amazing to think that any car still has a cable and not hydraulic clutch. I'm just not sure if this is anything to worry about?
Oh yea, and this is only when taking off in 1st. not through out all gears.

I sometimes get a little "jumpy" feeling from the clutch taking off in 2nd.... but no, I don't know what you mean.

My clutch is very violent for some reason it throws your leg off the pedal as it starts to release.

That probably means that the teeth on the pressure plate are getting worn and they are binding on the throwout bearing. Nothing too much to worry about now, but a new clutch assembly would be a wise investment in the near future . The Bullitt is doing the same thing. It's got about 80,000 miles on its current pressure plate/TO bearing/clutch disk/Pilot bearing.

What the above said..
I wouldn't worry about it being more serious (like a flywheel) until the whole car starts jumping when you attempt to engage the clutch..

Mine also has the rusty spring feeling...it happens when im sitting in traffic, and once it starts doing it, it continues doing it.....it almost feels like its sticking a bit at the bottom and then once it hits a certain point it flies up....its really annoying. I was thinking the sleeve the throw out bearing rides on is pitted or worn, but it doesn't do it all the time so i don't know.

i bought the car 2 years ago off the original owner, the only thing he did was 3.73 gears.....when i bought it, it had 55,000 miles, and now it has 70,000....thats not too bad for a 95. But im guessing its the original cable

hmm, might have that flywheel issue. the car does kinda jump when i am letting out the clutch. i thought it was the way i was drving it, as this is my first stick car. so, maybe im just letting the clutch out too quickly and the car is jumping bcuz of it?
