The guy at the Ford Dealership parts window didn't have a clue.
My little problem is the previous owner painted the car and the door tag or sticker with the info on it like what month in 1984 it was made is gone. Does anyone know if there is another place on the car to find what month the car was made? It is relitive to what sreering rack bushings I order as they changed mid year in "84. I'm not really sure if a vin. # search will turn up the month of manufacture. Anyone with any knowledge on this?
appreciate any help...thanks much
jack

Some dealers don't have the books for cars before the 90s...

Others are too lazy to look it up, I would try another dealer...

Thanks much to all who replied. Got the info I needed and the parts ordered. Man. date was 10/83 so it's an early 1984 production model. It just happens to be a year that come september somethings were made a little different than the first part of the year. Seems to me like it would have made more logic (for customers anyway) to have the cut off and parts switch at new years beginning and old ones end
just sayin

thanks again, have a great day.... and keep your horses running
