so i just noticed that my stockers have decided they wanted to crack like no bodies business, even tho i have a decent amount of tread left. so i have done some searching n what not and have come up with some BF Goodrich G-force T/A kdw. they are decently priced and from the reviews i have seen, everyone loves them. they last long and have very good traction in wet/dry. i was given a suggestion to get some wider nittos out back. but i need something that will last me a decent amount of time, as im on a decent budget for a while. what do you guys think. any suggestions are welcomed. o, and got a quote for 4 of the BFG's for $584 with free shipping. then i have to have them mounted n balanced.

I'm gonna go ahead and throw out the idea for G-force sports....both me and my roommate are running them and no complaints from me or him on performance or mileage. Mine are finally starting to show wear after 10 months...but a few trips to the track tends to do that.

yes and they are great for the price, not as grippey as KDW's but they last longer and have less road noise.

I had the KDW's back in the day and loved them. Great wet and dry traction and IMO the best looking tread pattern on the market other than the KD's.

Stay away from the Kuhmo's. BFG sports seem to be a nice tire. They tend to wear less. Went' thru a set of Kuhmo's Escta 712's in a few months.

Nitto 555s. A lot of the guys I know run them up here and they'll definitely be the tires I put on next.

Ive never had bfgs but ive heard good things about them, just not amazing tread life... but that is the price you pay for traction.
My yokahoma avs es100s are good all around not great at any one thing, they do last a long time though.

just got a price quote. $185 per tire, or $740, to mount balance n what not. seems ok to me. a little pricey, but ok. then again, ive never had to buy tires. lol also called another shop. i could buy the tires online for about $585 with free shipping and then have a shop put them on for $130 so if i did the ordering myself n lug them around, it would be around $715. still alot, but i think i would rather pay the extra 30 n just let them do it all.

Nitto 555s are crap compared to the BFG KDW's. I've got the Nittos right now, and I'm not a huge fan.

i would price tirerack and find a shop that puts them on and balances them for around 60 bucks, 130 is WAY high for mounting tires and balancing them.

yea, prolly cuz there goin on this specific car. do they really need to know that the tires are going on rims on a 2004 mustang gt? i was gunna do that, but the prices are too close. and discounttires.com is a little cheaper than tirerack.
