I'm in advertising and looking to hear some cool stories about Ford Mustangs and the people that drive them and love them! They can range anywhere from specific journeys you've taken your Mustang on to races you've won, etc. I'm just hoping to put together a portal of interesting and unique stories of people who own Ford vehicles and love them! Thanks! |

I don't even know where to start. I will say this much, owning this car has led to meeting several of my closest friends and even led to finding the love of my life.
I could tell stories of trips and races but it would take forever to tell them all.

wanna hear everytime I was pulled over and thought to be a drug dealer  man my old V6 was searched through so many times it was insane had one cop swear up and down I had something searched my stang for 45 minutes, even had cops from 2 other towns show up haha

there is the story of how i found mine.
i started working at a dealer and found it at it's sister store about a week later. bought it and about two weeks later quit. they probably still think i went to work for them just to get the car.

Actually, I'd love to hear all about your specific experiences. That's really what this new portal is going to be about, the fun, cool, interesting things people do/have done/will do with their Ford cars. The more detail, the better! Thanks so much for responding!! |

okay... was pulling out of a driveway and after shifting 1 - 2, my car went BAM... followed by alot of smoke... i pulled into a motorcycle shop parking lot and realized after rob and i had looked at the car, I threw .... 4 rods?
yay!

Then we can share the stories of sex in the mustang... telling a friend to park near my mustang and hitting it, my brakes going out and me hitting another car... ummm... me trying to sneak mods on behind parents back cuz it was their car.... ummmmmm

there is the time i drove to Austin and a normal 3 hr drive only took me 1 1/2 hrs to get there and 1 hr 45 mins to get back. would have been less but i stuck behind a bottleneck of cars that slowed me down. Houston and Austin are approximately 3 - 3 1/2 hrs apart under normal driving. i don't drive normal. needless to say, my sister was pissed at me for driving so fast and she wasn't even in the car with me.

Haha, that reminds me of my freshman year when I was driving back from home (2 1/2 hour trip). It took me an hour and fifteen minutes...the cop took at least 15 to write the ticket...
Another good story is the grand am GT, you can ask nicole about that one. He was absolutely amazed that a V6 mustang had any power at all.
It's quite fun to run someone (at the track of course) and don't tell them it's a v6 till afterwards, it tends to make them feel bad.

oh man, i must have 100s of stories, i can honestly say i wouldn't be where i am right now if it wasn't for my car--it has led me to friendships that have just turned into some of my best friends

wish i could say my tC did that... i met a few people that were cool from t he import side, but without my mustang I would have never met any of ya'll, rob, and some others. :-(
i might have gotten my hands on an old skoo stang... my dad is debating buying...
he wants to get a blue devil in 2 years, but im like nooooooo get something worth while, like a stang

Ok - so far I'm really appreciating the time ya'll are takin to respond. . . but let's here the unique thigns you've done with your car. Do you race it or belong to a racing team of any sort? If you've met interesting people and even the love of your life, then for sure share your story That's what we're lookin for! |

here's a touching story.
i got my car last year in february. it is the first convertible i have ever owned. little did i know that my father had always wanted one and, believe it or not, had never ridden in one, a mustang convertible that is. one day i drove the boys and i to walmart where he worked with the top down. he was walking through the parking lot so i pulled up along side of him and asked him if he wanted a ride. he smiled climbed in the car and when i dropped him at his car, a whopping 150 yards away, he smiled at me again and said he would die a happy man now that he had ridden in a mustang convertible. a short four months later, he passed away rather unexpectedly. there were many things that he wanted to do in his short life. many of which i had every intention of helping him do. but i can say that i was able to fulfill one of his wishes, if only for 150 yards.

I thought racing teams were for ricers????? Anywhooo.
Met my wife driving the Bullitt, she was in a gorgeous '66 coupe with a 302 swap. Sold the Bullitt, got a notch, since we thought we wouldn't be able to afford the insurance, then bought the Bullitt back.
