I have a 2000 v6 AUTO... i have been saving up money to do some mods.. i recently bought catback exhaust, dual flowmasters, but cant hear it very often because of the low rpms im running... is gears the way to go for this problem?

well loud and v6 dont go together as they dont sound very good when they are very free flowing. With gears you will be higher in the rpms vs the given speed~ thats about all I would mess with. When you are just driving around at 55 or so you should be in the drone range.

dump the exhaust at the back axel.. sound 300 times better and you get to hear it alot more
depends on what state he's in on whether that's legal or not. in Tx it has to exit the vehicle from sides or rear. mine exits from rear.
mine is a v6 as well and it is loud enough for me when accelerating and i like the drone at cruising speed. but i still plan on putting gears in and a cai. with the gears, as Spec said, the rpm's will increase which should increase the sound at an idle. but make sure after all of the mods that you dynotune that thing. otherwise all of it together will barely make the difference it should. i still need to do that mine.

Aight thanks guys.. also since i am one who likes to street race.. what to suggest for me? i was thinking of getting a new cam.. and cai but i am unsure what i could do that would make a tremendous difference without having to rebuild everything under the engine..
