yea im still young an getting to know this stuff but here goes, i just mounted my tach in my car an i have it set so when its night or day the tach is lit an i was woundering if that will burn up the bulb in it over time? an also i have a carb prob an when i have car running the tach is steady then it jumps kinda like a spike then settles down again for a few secs then does it again an i was woundeirng if thats a miss or what? sry for all the threads iv been leaving lol
The way my truck is wired is all the interior lights run anytime the truck is running. Haven't had any problems yet and I'm running a triple pod as well as the factory setup.

just pop the front area of the dash open and use a power tester (screw driver looking thing that has a wire that you ground then you stick the end of the thing onto a wire if it lights up its a hot wire) and find the wires that are only hot when the lights are on. Then you can use that wire to powre your tach. Just use an inline fuse at least 18 inches or more close to the tach.
