Went last night to a track in Jasper and got a slight new best time:
2.16 = 60 FT
8.53 = 1/8 ET
87.18 MPH
Previous best was a 8.55 lol
On a side note, my buddy that helped with the turbo instal just finished putting a 100 shot on his `03 GT. He is still trying to figure out when the best time to spray is and only did a best run of 8.68
We came to the decision that if he had more experience at the track with N2O that we would have been very close the whole time. So it looks like it will take a GT with a 100 shot to keep up with me...

Eh, stock enough...Alabama stock . Tires, cat-back, and the air lid are all that I've changed. Oh yeah, and plugs and wires...if you count that sort of thing. So, not quite totally stock, but close enough. That might change before too long, but I've got to get another car to drive to work, first.

So air filter, downpipe and smaller pulley on the regal makes it almost stock? :pnoid:

A smaller pulley can really add some power, though. I'm 17 horses over what I was bone-stock.

Hahaha that's probably what I have at the wheels over stock... tq on the other hand is probably through the roof... enough to drop a full second and gain 8 MPH...

You run at Jasper? That's not but an hour and a half away.
I've been once and couldn't hook in a stock mustang. Those guys don't know what VHT means. They fix that dam hump in the left lane?

It wasn't the best track prep, but it better than Huntsville's test and tune night prep. And yeah lol, I didn't notice a hump.
The track iteslf is actually in Warrior, I took the Warrior-Robbins exit and then drove for about another 20 minutes west to get there.

It'll be a while, I have no frickin' idea to get out there. The only time I've been is when I went to Mike Bell's house(the srt4 guy) and followed him from Vernon, MS, down a TON of back roads and then we ended up there. I think it would almost be easier to head up to tupelo, get on 78, then head south on........... well nevermind. Just check google maps.

Just to know what your car is doing and when it is doing it will help, no need for buttons (of course).

Yeah, because it's real hard to hold the gas pedal to the floor for that 2nd eigth of a mile. That's where all the skill is.

Agreed. Like I have said before, I would do 1/4 all the time if I could but they are just too far away. If you screw up in the 1/8th, it reflects A LOT more on your time than in the 1/4. Sides all the important shit happens in the first 1/8th anyway: reaction time, hooking, 60' time....... The 1/4 is usually just one more shift.
Speaking of that... I went to the track this weekend and realize that the car needs more weight in the back and some different springs. Ran an 8.55 with a 2.15 60' foot and still spinning second as well... The mph is still fucked up at Columbus. I seriously doubt I trapped 94 in the 1/8th on motor . But still my best time is a 2.04 60' with a 8.33 ET and some screwed up mph. Thinking of heading to a real track this weekend..... And that's on motor. I really think the car should see 7's with some high 1.70's or 1.80 short times.

I would much rather be making 1/4 mile runs. But like SpectorV said, the nearest one is now in Steel and that is a long way away. I will be going to Gulf Shores, and I'll be taking the car there. Me and my buddy with the nitrous GT are going to go a 1/4 track in south Mississippi.
I'm thinking I can get a really high 12 because it doesn't quite reach it's peak on an 1/8th.
