Anyone ever see the documentary, "Who Killed The Electric Car?"?..... cars like this one that's shown in the link really make you wonder why they were saying that electricity wasn't considered "a viable option" in the auto industry (well not really when you think about how electrics are mostly maintenece free)

Some of these other fuels though, if we can get rid of the rag heads, are actually better for performance than dead dino droppings. I'd rather see that than electric.

he was saying how fast the block went by.... and when he got on it, I didn't even hear tires chirp. At 600 horse, he should've left some tire marks no problem. What a pussy, if you're gonna get on it, really get on it.

where does the electricity come from?
the second you make all the cars (or even half of them) full on electric, they make a special plug to recharge them, that only newer houses have, and then they charge you for that plug a certain amount per hour to use (say, around 10$) and it still takes 4 hours for a full recharge, and you still get maybe 200 miles per charge, so there is NO savings whatsoever. plus the fact the electricity has to come somewhere, and if our power crunch isnt bad enough, imagine adding more strain to the country's feeble power grid, so energy prices will skyrocket to meet the demands, and we will need more plants to make more power which all power producing facilities (except for natural power which only can supply roughly 5% of the energy grid) produce bi-product. so you only *think* the cycle gets cleaner.

You mean, California's feeble power grid. We got the TVA down here. Our power grid is far from feeble.

eh i dunno man, remember that blackout a while back on the NE part of the country and parts of canada eh? at least when cali goes black, its either 1) intentional, or 2) we had a earthquake and fell off the face of the planet (or were hanging out with hawaii, depending on which flash movie youre watching)

I don't get why we are trying to make battery cars. Ever looked inside one??? Lead, Sulfuric acid, other harmful non environmentally safe stuff. Plus where do you think the energy is coming from to charge those batteries. Those things still put "a bigger hole in the ozone" just by different means.
