OK. I am doing a serious tune up on my car and want to clean up the engine and bay some also.
I seek opinions on what color should I paint my intake, as well as that fan shroud up front. Even if I clean the engine bay these parts look rough. So I am considering pulling these items and painting them. White would match obviously but would be tough to keep clean. By the way, I have new Red plug wires to go on it..so there is a little red under the hood to consider along with the white bay.
So, lets hear what ideas everyone has.
What it looks like now.

Matte Black. It will have good contrast to the red plug wires, distributor, and your car.

Match the color of the alternator casing with the color of the manifold. I think that matte black would be great for all three, and not many people take the time to detail an alternator.
If you can, paint the plate on the intake matte black as well and color in the lines and lettering red so they're similar to these valve covers:
(It'll take some work, but will look damn good if you take your time)

Thanks SSB for the comliment.
There are some better pictures of the engine on my website. There's a ton more polishing and ceramic coating of the GT-40 to be done yet. Right now it's just greased lightning, rattle can paint, and semi-hidden wiring.
