hi guys, got a 2004 v6 3.9L stang, and need some advice on mods to get, and how much they will cost me, main concern at the moment would be a way to take out the governor, what kind of chip would i need to replace it and how much would it cost?
and any other ideas would be appreciated. (just as long as there is a cost value so i know how much it will be)

It's all good man.
As far as seat of the pants. Gears is what you will feel the most out of anything. Installing a T-lok at the same time will also greatly increase your power out of the hole.
The way your car is right now, all of the power is going to the right rear wheel when you give it gas, hence, when you are trying to take off you are only getting the power down through one wheel. By putting the power through both wheels you will be that much faster off the line.
CAI just looks cool to me, that's why I have one. Exhaust is fun to have because I like hearing my car. You really won't feel any power from either of these, but the sounds and joys of having them is worth it in my opinion.
If you run into anymore questions, feel free to ask away, that's what we're here for.

Ok, your car has 3.27 gears. In other words, for every 1 turn your engine makes your rear tires turn 3.27 times. By upgrading to a "taller" gear such at a 3.73 or 4.10 you are essentially multiplying your power to the ground. By putting a 3.73 gear in the car you are giving it 3.73 turns at the rear tires for every one turn of the engine.
A T-lok or Traction Lock is what is known as a "locker". This just simply senses when the right wheel begins to slip or lose traction and engages the left wheel to compensate.
Both of these pieces are located in the rear differential of a car. That is the rear axle pumpkin located in the rear of the car.
Alot of people will tell you to not worry about a CAI. As I said before, if you are expecting to feel a power difference, a CAI is not for you. If you are wanting something that looks better than the factory intake tubing, then there you go.

You can buy from wherever. Personally, I would buy ford racing gears with a warranty. And wherever you get it installed, make sure they give you a written warranty to cover whining and incorrect install.

Just find a good shop where you are that will warranty it.
Ask around and see what you come up with.
