You will have to modify the computer.
You do this either with a chip or a tuner. I'd recommend the tuner, but first I'd recommend getting a few mods to make the tune worth it.

I hate to be the bringer of common sense but you really dont need to go over the stock mph limiter in your car, especially if you have the stock tires as they are not rated to go above 115mph~ and you could wind up dead or worse killing someone else. There are far to many things that can happen on the street to make going that fast reasonable ever.
If this is on a closed course then you can do anything you wish within the rules of the track you are on and good luck to you. Just dont do it on public roads where its ... extremly stupid. Sorry but it is true.
Chips really dont add hp/tq for the most part, they help but they dont do much on a stock car. A good dyno tune is the best path. It will give better drivability and the best hp/tq increase you can get. Can tunes off the shelf generally suck extremly bad and have been known to cause major issues on some vehicles.

I've been 145 on H rated tires . And known several people do the like. You know those ratings mean that the tires last that long at that speed for 24 hours straight in their testing right? But also at those speed there is LITERALLY no one else on the highway. Ask brad about our open road between columbus and starkville. Sometimes NO ONE is on it.

You never know if their is a retread on the highway, a dead animal, even a small rock at 140+ = death. That speed and sudden stops in a mustang do not spell well for the driver.

Haha, I have made some very very good time on that road. Also broken several laws on that little stretch of highway.

lmfao...u guys r funny...i run 265/50/16 z-rated al da way around as x-law enforcement and soon to be active again, i can't condone those unlawful acts...i won't lie, it's fun as hell though if u live through ordeal. i rarely drive at those speeds and certainly the quarter mile is definately safer/controlled...i got some other cop buddies that will block streets off for us...again, though this is a controlled environment. even though i'm just die'n to wrap that 160 mark on my speedo...140 race'n a porsche is my fastest though...and 140 race'n my z-28 against yea, another porsche. most cops really don't care if no-one else is on the roadway..."it's your car and your ass". kinda attitude. keep in mind, it only takes 100mph for a plane to leave the ground (went to flight school), therefore if your car isn't set-up for those kinda speeds u r realy take'n your life, and others on the roadway, into your own hands. i tell peolpe all the time, even if u r break'n the law, there is still a right and wrong way to do things....it sounds crazy, but that's why i still have 4cyl. brakes on my car. i use it as a personal deterent, i know i won't drive that fast if i can't stop...makes u think twice bout bust'n 130mph. i haven't had a ticket in over five years, and i plan to stay that way...so, i drive like i got some damn sense most of the time

don't poop on my parade!!!...i can dream can't i? ....we both know i will never wrap that 160 speedo...my friend was clocked @ 155 in his '86 gt...of course he had $22,000 under the hood, and tuned at "paul's high performance". one time we were on the highway..3rd gear 80 mph, tires broke loose and car went side ways a lil when he shifted to 4th....scared the shit outa me, i never been in anything that brakes traction @ 80....it dynoed @ a lil more than 600hp @ the wheels...that's the car that made me fall in love with stangs. i was amazed my stang kept up with the porsche...as we all know a stock 5.0 top ends between 129-133mph. lucky for me he had to stop for gas, cause i was outa motor.

I bet a stock 5.0 would top out higher than that.
My point was going that fast in a fox is nuts. Aerodynamics>stock fox exterior

I've always heard a stock fox tops out around 145-150.

yea, i think i made the same point here, or in another thread. the car didn't feel squirley, loose, or light. not to mention i don't i have a spoiler on my coupe. but yea, u r absolutley right...it was fun as hell though...so this year i got new springs and shocks to make it a tiny bit more stable. i had a bad spring on the back @ 120 the air pushes down on the back of the car and makes the fender rub the tire (rear driver). the faster u go, the more it rubs. i run 255/50/16 all the way around...needless to say these tires don't like to get intimate with the inner fender wells. i know i'm talk'n alota trash here, but i only hit those speeds a couple times a year. usualy i set the cruise for 68mph. they r still relatively conservative on speed limits here in ohio.
