yeah but its the sound that matters most................
Yes it is...because you don't drive a car that looks like shit...and you don't drive a car that sounds like shit. It is the same thing.
Since a car is not being built for NHRA, NMRA, etc...it doesn't have to have the most efficient power adder....in fact, it needs to have the power added that is going to make the owner of the car the happiest. Since, the owner may not like the idea of sounding like a jet going down the street with the gay ass BOV sound, and may prefer the ear piecing whining sound of a KB/Whipple twin screw...or the whine of a procharger...then, since that belongs to the owner, the owner will do what makes him the happiest...and sounding like ass is not going to fill that void.
So, take your holier than thou turbo ass and jump.
I want my 92 to scream like that... this seals it haha I'm getting a KB once I can afford it

Awesome. There is a company out there that is claiming their centrifigal blower is as efficient as a turbo... Let me go look for it. Wheel 2 Wheel used two of them on a pump gas Nova. Two blowers, LS based motor, 9's on pump gas, and looks like it really is 35 plus years old...
