Well, I guess all those dealerships that were spouting off "This is a one time only production car" will have to come up with a new reason for jacking the prices on the 07 GT500's now.

There had better not be stories of people ordering the car, the car getting to the dealership, then the dealership selling it out from under them for a hellacious price. I think some people might sue this time.

if you order and put a deposit on the order then no, its not legal for them to sell it from under you. besides, i believe once you order the car youre entering a legally binding contract, if they recieve the car you ordered and sell it cause Douchefuck McDouchey comes in with 100k cash and they sell the car to him since you only were locked into say 60k, then they have broken the contract, which yeah, is illegal.

For the record...a number of people put down deposits on 07's for MSRP...then when they came in...they were told either pay the 20k markup or it is not yours..several lost it because someone came in first with more money than brains and paid the markup.

It is not your car until you sign the contract. You can not sign the contract until the vehicle is made and has a VIN number. When I ordered my Mustang new I could not actually buy the car until it has a VIN released.
