That makes sense...i never really knew because i've never gotten to play with the electronic speedo, i still have the mechanical gear driven speedo in my 95.

You can, however, read codes on any OBDII ford using a tuner without it effecting the tune or the vehicle.

Learned this when I reset the codes on Tiff's dad's F150.

That is correct. I believe it will read them off of any ODBII vehicle, not just ford as well.

And yes....700ish sounds pretty good for all parts and install. I would say it would be the most you would spend. Check around for prices...I know a guy that will sell the TLok and gears for 10% over cost...so if you are going to order them, ping me first. He is a ford dealership and sells parts 10% over. I believe FRPP TLock and 4.10 gears were quoted around $200 plus shipping total...I will ask Kyle (a member here whom I got the quote for originally) to verify the total.

would definately appreciate it. so your man sells it 10% more or 10% less? and i am planning on ordering sometime within the next couple of weeks, still trying to find a place that can warranty it around Dallas area... might just take it to local ford dealership.

Pay extra to go to a reputable shop. With rear end parts, if they are not installed correctly, they can make excess noise and grind.

Orrrr........... U can find a 8.8 and put in on ur car (sorry im lookin at crap for mine and im about to just buy a 8.8 cause its cheaper then all this 7.5 parts)
