hey guys,
So my little brother has a 93 notch and he has the clear taillight lenses. Well he had red l.e.d lights in it but they wern't really bright. And a cop stopped him and told him they were illegal. So now he had a fix it ticket but we cant find any bulbs that are actually red. Otherwise he has to buy new taillights. Does anybody have any solutions or know where you can actually buy a lightbulb thats red?

^^^^ This man knows his hip hop.
Sorry, but as I've told others in the past, it's a Mustang, not a Honda, leave the clear lenses to the import crowd.
I'm a huge fan of the 83-86 / 93 Cobra tail lenses personally. Best looking Fox lenses ever and they're not nearly as common as the LX lights

You can't go wrong with either the stock LX lights or the aforementioned 93 Cobra/83-86 style lights.
If God wanted a LX notch to have clear tail lights, he would have made them that way.

smoked def would have looked tons better on the notch though

that bad thing is, no offense, but if that notch had stock tail lenses, i'd be drooling over it... cause besides that its pretty sick.
I think im gonna bite the bullet and do some light tint on my car, makes the notches look great. I need to get you guys some updated pictures of the car as well, looks alot different now.

wtf ever yall...those clear lenses look sweet. those lexus suv's have clear tail lights, those yuppies aren't gett'n swerved on by the fuzz. seriously though, if they shine red there should be no issue (proper brightness). im not in law enforcement anymore so i can't remember wut ohio revised code says about it. you should check your state law though, cause u would be surprised how many cops don't know d.o.t. regulations. they may in fact be legal with the proper bulbs. there are alot of cars from the factory with clear tail lights now days. we used to make traffic stops for tint violations, and now almost all suv's and ext cab truck come factory with tint that we would have pulled over just a few years ago...so go figure...check your state and federal dot regs for sure...cops aren't always right..of course if your bulbs don't illuminate red with proper intensity, u definatlely have problem...alot of states it is illegal to illuminate white in the rear if u r not going in reverse..every state is a lil differnt.

if they are legal, just print off a copy of the ordinance stating such, then the cops can't give you too much shit about it... if they do, just hand them a copy of the ordinance... and say "mmmkk have a nice day".
