Check out this Aluminum Block that was design as a replacement for a Terminators cast Iron block.
Of course it can be used for other applications as well, but it was designed were you can throw ever piece from a Terminator engine on it without having to mod it. They have cut down the knock sensor bosses so you can run the Terminators intake/intercooler among other things. Its basically and Aluminum Terminator block that is setup to take Terminator parts. At the same time it is stonger than the Terminator block and is suppose to be as strong or stronger than a Teksid block. I bet John Coletti wishes this block was around about 5 or 6 years ago.
Apparently there are two versions of the block as one is for F.I. applications and one is made for N/A applications.

Yup...the "Aluminator" as Ford called it in their press release last year.
It is the basis for my shortblock build next year....020 over.

Yeah I just went back and read your thread and saw that you mentioned it. If I were to do a engine build I would probably use it.

seriously though, whats the amount you need to where the block becomes a weakpoint, especially on a termie? like, i know what, 650 is the limit on pump and the tight piston to wall clearance being an issue in long runs, but at what point is a even stronger rotating assembly not enough? at what point does the block give out? or is it just one of those "well, blew a hole in the stock block, so why were there........" kinda deals?

I would want it for weight more than strength as the stock block holds a good bit of power. Its stronger and lighter = good.

Both weight and heat soak savings is my motivation for getting it. This block will get me much closer to a 50/50 balance. I believe it saves like 100 pounds off the front end.
This is the block they should have put in the car to start with....if they wouldn't have wasted so much time blowing up regular aluminum blocks to where they had to give up and go iron....the could have made this one in time.

Anybody know how much of a pain it would be to go ahead now and swap the blocks out?

No harder than any other standard engine swap. If you ordered a bare block, you would have to swap everything from your current motor over..so obviously you would have some work to do. However, if you ordered a short block version, you would just need to swap over the top end and all your accessories and bolt it in. (Boss 330 shortblocks available at leathal performance)

No, it is reinforced in a few other/different areas. It is a different block than the GT aluminum block. Similar, but different.

The Ford GT block is stronger/bigger/better. It is also $2,500. Thats not to say that this block isn't extremely bad ass though.
