I doubt he can get gears for 500 installed so he will be out of room on getting a tune.

SCT Xcal 2. I got one on mine tuned to 93 octane.
It rocks really hard on the acceleration...!

Yep go with the tune for $500, gears will run you $750 for that set up done right. Besides you will need your speedo redone after gears, without a tune you have to go to the dealer and then they know you have gears!!!
