Yea, I just failed two classes. Programming in C# and Visual Basic. I've never been good at programming. I've always been better at Photoshop CS2 and more visual stuff. So, I wrote the two professors a letter explaining that I messed up and that I lost my job midway in the semester and couldn't catch up in time.
Well good-bye scholarship!

I fucking hate visual basic. I remember coming into class and the teacher giving us the book and telling us "Ok here's your assignment, I don't know visual basic, but there's the book."
For my final I made a hangman game. I don't even remember ANY bit of code to it anymore. I couldn't even make a basic calculator program.

programming isnt too rough. what makes it difficult is that its very hard to learn... its something that comes with experience. you could be lectured the ins and outs of programming, but unless you actually start to actually get into the stuff on your own, its gonna be a royal pain in the ass.

Does your school offer an academic forgiveness policy where you can take 1 or 2 classes over again to remove the F from your record and correct your GPA?
I wish I would have done that with the one class I failed, just ran out of time. I could probably be at least .1 higher on my GPA without the F on my record.

dear lord CIS is one of the easiest majors EVER wtf were you doing lol did you even go online at all and do any homework?
Unless you have the most anal/bad teacher ever that wants to make it hard on you then you should have no trouble doing good in the classes.
With a CIS degree you will not be programming for a living so there is no real reason to learn every bit about it other than just the basics to see what it is about.

CAI at UAH might be different. Where I am from if you only have the experience you learn from a CIS degree you will need more to be a programmer (the CIS degree at UNA is more like an office job rather than a programming position)
If my grammar bothers you that bad, block me so you dont have to read it.

You are correct that I should not have jumped to the conclusion that his CIS degree was easy. I was going by the CIS degree and courses offered by UNA and I should not have. Every school has different terms for similar degrees and the CIS degree at once school is not always the same as CIS degree at another school. I had no basis to judge the level of difficulty of the CIS major at his university. I should not have said that a degree in CIS at his school was an easy major.
I do apologize for my speaking out in a way that I should not have.
