I thought Ford claimed that the 05 GT weighed 3520lbs? Ford way underrated the weigh of the 05's, they rated the Cobras pretty accurately from what I seen. I thought Ford rated the New Edge GT's at 3420lbs and the 05's are suppose to be about 200lbs more. I would imagen that if you were to weight both cars stock on the same scale they would be relatively close.
Here is a little discussion on the Terminators weight. Note that some of these are not stock so that will change the weight of the car. Some might be heavier and some might be lighter than a stock Cobra depending on mods.
SVTPerformance
I think Ford is charging the same for the GT500 motor as they were for the Terminator motor which is around $13,500 if I'm not mistaking. You could honestly build yourself a better motor for cheaper. You can buy a much stronger Shortblock than they Terminators stock one for less than $3,000. Many owners do this for insurance when they start adding screw blowers or twins. MMR, VT, and Al Papitto all make great shortblocks for Terminators, but you'll need to get all the other parts if your starting from scratch and IDK what all that will cost. Supercharger, heads, intercooler, plus everything else.
Modular Mustang Racing
Why can't you have good topend in a street car? My car makes good power at every spot in the RPM range.
I can fit a full grown adult in the back of mine... I think.
I can make donuts with my Cobra.
Sorry.

My first two runs were 12.96x @ 114.25 and 113.86. PRetty consistent. The second run I Couldn't get the car out of 4th after going through the traps. It finally came out after I turned off the track onto the return road when I got down to about 20 mph.
The third run of the night was the 12.666 @ 115.97. Still had shitty 60 tims (2.3x for the first two runs 2.2x for the third). On the third run the clutch was just spinning away through first. It was not a happy camper.
However, I am not only about half a loser as I finally got out of the 13s in my 11 second car. lol

So pretty much foxbodies are useless without a modular motor for reliability... I'm not even going to mess with what has been said on the past couple pages.....
JROC is only concerned with having a good looking good performing(as in high MPH in the 1/4, who cares what ET is ) and something that is good for roll racing... Oh well... Another loss of an 03 cobra... I'm through with this. It's getting passed childish.

I don't know about yall but they EFI systems for 351w with that you can have a 600hp N/A foxbody that runs as smooth as a new car
