I'd use an HKS or a Procharger.

The alternative is running a line into the exhaust so you can't hear the BOV.

yeah, umm. no.
wastegates = exhaust. bov/bypass valve = intake.
he can/should recirculate his bov back into his intake tract before the boost source and it will almost entirely kill the sound and make it barely audible. its possible to pipe the wasted air from the bov into the exhaust, i guess, i really wouldnt think of ever doing it, i think youre going to have a really bad situation since the exhaust gases are going to try to force their way back up into the bov, no matter how you route the piping, at any time other than when the bov goes off and has enough force to blow those exhaust gases the way they should go, if the pressure from the bov has enough force to counter the pressure/heat from the exhaust, which it might not, so its very possible youre going to get alot of exhaust into the intake during a WOT shift. i would highly not recommend it, it has bad news written all over it. you just gave me a headache.
btw, i cant even hear my bov on my 1g, and while i can if i listen for it, my buddies wrx is completely silent. both of those become obnoxiously loud if they are vented as opposed to their stock recirculated setup. i cant imagine using a bov like the Turbo XS RFL (Really Fucking Loud), thats just retarded.
now if hes talking about wastegates and if to dump the excess into the atmosphere or reroute it back into the exhaust, thats another story.

i think the HKS SSQ is a bit over-done... like flowmasters (dont hate, thats whats on my car too!) If i have a FI car, a squeak just doesnt do it justice.
On that note, if i have an FI car with a BOV vented to atmosphere, its gonna be fast, so i want that bitch as loud as possible - Ive heard the TurboXS RFL, and i think its appropriate - just a big WHOOOSH, no squeak, or whistle.
Again, YES its LOUD, and YES, its FAST!
Just my .02

I recall an MR2 and a WRX that both had them and they were slow as piss
But yeah, if it's boosted and I drive it, you bet your ass you're going to know when I come off of boost

lol ricer..........
i dont even want my GSX bov to make a noise, the sneezes get annoying after a while, and you find yourself learning how to get up to speed without hitting above 0psi so the bov doesnt go off. hell i might even take off the X and see if i can lure some honduh's into a false sense of security........

Anything that I own, that will be boosted will have a minimum of 377 cubic inches. So, the BOV will be kind of hard to hear over the motor.
