I had a set of lakewood lca's on the back of my old Camaro. I was having serious issues with wheel-hop, and they fixed it. They weren't real expensive, either.

honestly, i don't think my car makes enough horse to utilize them...i get excessive wheel spin on launch. i have to run with a half tank of gas or more to get traction...i picked a set of upper and lowers from the ford swap meet here in columbus, ohio a few weeks ago. $135.00 for the upper and lower.."new". i haven't putte'm on yet, but i am hope'n they help with my traction issues. also, ima relocate my battery to the trunk and hope that the few extra pounds help.

Get you some good tires. That'll help more than anything.

I installed a set of south side machine lift bars on my 01 and it really helped traction... but ONLY in a straight line. Going with upgraded OEM style (not altering the geometry) LCAs also help but wont make as much of an impact as a good set of tires will.
I would go maximum motorsport LCA due to their spherical design allows the rotation of the rear end to be less binding. When one side of the rear axle raises and the other lowers this creates bind. Urathane bushings are stiffer but cause more bind. The reason the rubber OEM bushings are used is to prevent bind... at the same time they cause other side effects I am sure you are familiar with. They do not keep the rear end planted very well and allow side to side movement. Maximum Motorsports piece prevent the rear from moving side to side nearly as much and also help to eliminate the rear end binding by allowing the LCA to twist side to side without causing a bind in the tq boxes.
With bind you gain uneven and dangerous handling characteristics. The overall design of the OEM 4 link leaves much to be desired.

I've had both the SSM lift bars and the Maximum Motorsports lowers. I liked the MM stuff better. I didn't really have wheel hop with either, despite other serious traction issues. The MMs were so much nicer though. The SSMs always made a horrible popping noise at low speeds.
Maximum Motorsports all the way.

Got southside now and hate 'em. They were on the car when we got it. Looking at some UPR's or some MM. Your car can ALWAYS use aftermarket UCA's and LCA's.

Have urethanes here, aren't too TOO bad, but they are rougher than stock. JUST BE SURE TO GREASE THE EVER LOVING PISS OUT OF THEM. OR they'll squeak and creak like hell.
