fox body shift linkage for aod...help!!!

does anyone know if there are other year stangs that have shift linkages that can work on a fox. i welded two 4cyl. auto. shift linkages together to work on my aod. i wanna go back to cable operated linkage cause that steel rod crap suks..rubs my tranny case and isn't in the right spot on my gear indicator...i wanna know if a later model cable linkage will work...im on a budget and ford wants a your left nut and first born for one if the dealer even has any left cause they are an obselete part.

i had a guy send me an email say'n 50 bucks...i'm not sure if i'm that hard up for one yet...but i know i'm have'n a hard time sourcing one...i seen some new ones ebay..almost $200. after i get that and put on my brakes and rear sway bar. my car will be true v-8 spec. damn 4 cyl. doesn't come with rear sway bars, sup wit dat? ...for now...i got all dat motor, wit so lil rotor...hahaha i made a funny...those ity bity rotors look sooo cute behind those pony wheels.....my stang stops with the power of positive thought.

yep, im driving my father's beater at the moment, mainly because he knows i'll fix everything thats wrong with it while i drive it...
anyways, its a 91 hatchback, stock brakes... they're so bad that I found myself practicing human abs braking (aka pumping the brakes in a non-ABS equiped car) i've cut my stopping time down alot, the car just slides all over the place if you just lock the brakes up.. its nasty.
