Another Question on Amp/Subs

Hi another ? i have the 2 12in. Rockford punch series P2 subs and 1 amp running the 2 subs and i believe it is 500 W and was wondering if thats good enough and if i got another 500 W amp i was wondering if it would just make the BOoming sound louder or if it would ALso make the voices of the rappers rapping louder also cuz the booming is so loud that there voices are kinda soft so will another amp make it worse or better. And also wat headunit should i get cuz i dont have one and now i cant turn the subs on and off and sometimes i dont feel liek using them usually at 7am to school and i want them to be able to control my ipod through it for Best Quality. THX Sry i wrote so much but plz respond back THX

I have 2 12in. Punch P2 subs and my amp is a SOny Xplod amp but i dont know how many watts because it doesnt say on it.
I am just wondering if a 500 Watt amp with 2 seperate cables each one going into a 12 in. sub is powerful enough or if i need a 1,000 watt amp or 2 500 watt amps.
THen i was wondering if the amps had anything to do with the voices being kinda low in all the songs or if it just has to do with the Bass thx.

Also i didnt get a headunit yet so i was wondering if there was anyway to turn the subs on and off until i get one THX

Odds are it's 500 watts peak.

Can you get a model number off of the Sony amp?

you should not hear any voices form the subs they should have a low pass filter on them

You will have to wire the amp into the remote ant. wire on the factory radio so it will turn on and off with the radio otherwise you run the risk of killing your battery with the amp hotwired

SOOOOooo.......... UUUUHhhhhhhhhh........ Yeah. What about some Ohm ratings on the amp and subs, that would be the best way to figure it out. And are the subs single or dual voice coil and how many channels do the amp(s) in question have?

i know there is 2 seperate cables going into each sub from the amp and i think it can fit 2 more so maybe a 4 channel sub but idk it says mono above where its plugged in and its a SOny Xplod and it says 750mhz thats all i really know but im gonna go to Best Buy have them see if its good or not then im gonna get an alpine or JVC headunit

THe main ? i have is does a Better Amp make the Subs Less Distorted when the BAss is all the way up cuz my SUBS sounds distored when the bass is up and the volume is up at about 3/4 full and ya will a better amp fix that and make it so i can have the BASSES sounds cleaner at louder Bass and Volume

the main problem is that the says that the base is drowning out the vocals adding more power to the subs is ony going to make it worse what you to do is get better mids and highs and add an amp to them

Tell you what... since I HAVE TWO P2 SUBS/BOX/AND AMP up for sale right now.... I know for a fact that 500 watts is too weak. I'm running a 900 watt RMS Rockford Fosgate POWER SERIES amp, this is the exact amp that Rockford Fosgate recommends for your setup. My subs are also in the Rockford made dual slotport box.... so yeah, maxed out for sound quality and boom!!!! I'm willing to part with the amp even though I wanted to sell this as a complete setup. I paid 750.00 for the amp, 300.00 shipped to your door. It's in MINT condition and runs like new. Only about an 2 full hours of use on it. ALSO, IF ANYONE'S INTERESTED..... I have like I mentioned above, the P2 subs in the Rockford Fosgate enclosure for sale.
