A guy over at the local board saw this while cruisin to work, Guess a Ford salemen owns it and just got it in and will be trying to get it registered this week

I'm pretty sure if you buy it put together then it's off road use only. The loophole is if you buy it in pieces (which you can) and put it together yourself, then you can register it as a kit car. I'm not 100% on this but that was my understanding of the Atom in the US.

yeah if you buy from the place it will be a legal fully registered vehicle.

i just want to get the base one, ill mod it myself, take out the crappy vtec motor (i think they either use a typeR motor or a celica motor, but i might be getting confused with the elise) and stick a 4g63 and do like 350-400+ to the wheels on a 16g. that thing would fly.

The American ones use GM's Ecotec 4-banger. The British versions use Honda motors.
