'67 drip rail molding for vinyl top???

I'm lookin' for 1967 drip rail moldings (with vinyl top). I just had my vinyl top redone and the moldings that I had were not compatible. So I've gone through all my local dealers and came up empty. I searched through all the websites and search engines, all drawing blanks. There is absolutely no way I'm putting the old ones on. I completely restored this car and it has no place for the bumped up old ones.

Can anyone tell me where to find them? (or who/where to buy from)

I appreciate the effort, but thats not what I'm lookin' for. You should read through the message a bit better.

I have those sittin' in my trunk. They're aluminum 1-size-fits-all. The old vinyl tops they put on these were extremely thin. The GM version tops were the same story. Perhaps, then, those moldings would fit. Now, I'm going to need a miracle. The mere difference in millimeter(s) just throws it off. Getting them installed without dings all over it is gonna be tough as... The upholster I used said he wouldn't touch them. The aluminum is just too maleable.

I'm looking for: A) Stainless moldings? B) Moldings made for vinyl top...

Just the way its lookin', finding a break like that is slim... If anyone thinks its an impossibility to get anything else, then I guess its time to try anyways and hope for the best... I'm really not wanting to have to keep buying these flimsy peices of...

"Drip rail" molding. You had it right the first time, but they will not fit. Thats the whole problem. Just lookin' for solutions.

I've seen it done recently where they trimmed the vinyl from the drip rail edge, put on the rail & silicon seal the inside. I dunno about this because I saw an earlier model done this way and, to be honest, it looked like crap. I'm sure theres ways to not make it noticeable, but I'd rather just have them go on .

It just doesn't make sense how these cars can come w/ vinyl tops, have only one model drip rail, and they won't fit.

So I guess I'm lookin' for a link to a guide to the installation of the drip rail for a vinyl top.

Pop the spot welds on the roof and just remove that piece of metal that attaches to the drip rails.
