if i go with a set of stage 2 cams(most likely from crower) will i have to get new valve springs or will stock work, i was also going to uprade my whole intake and exhaust.

stage 1 you dont need, but with the stage 2 you will need new valve springs

I prefer cam specs over "stages" that seem to be so popular these days. And give the specs at .050 not at advertised duration(.006).

When I was a kid (just before Custer died at the Little Big Horn) they called them 3/4 Race and Full Race cams. Like "stages", there were no specifics other than 3/4 was not as racy as a Full cam. Go figure.
