"A limited edition 2008 Mustang is just the thing to rev up Ford’s Warriors in Pink campaign to fight breast cancer this year. The special Mustang is the first-ever Ford vehicle designed exclusively to support the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world’s largest grassroots network of breast cancer survivors and activists working to save lives. In celebration of Komen’s 25th anniversary, Ford will donate $250 for every package purchased...."
Here's a new review on the Ford Mustang WIP Edition, from TopSpeed. It includes info on Ford's charitable actions towards the breast cance community, and some details on the car. Available is also a picture gallery with the coupe.
Read it all here: Ford Mustang WIP Edition - Top Speed

What a waste of advertisement on both accounts. Why not just ask for donations? I understand that Ford wants everyone to know that they are working with/donating to the research, but this is getting bad.
Actually I was talking to my wife about breast cancer the other day. You know that women who are prone to it, can actually have the "innards" removed and get fake ones so that they will never even have the chance of breast cancer.

Anyone have any opinions or reviews, good or bad, about this 'stang?
My wife and I were looking at a 2008 used white convertible with only 4k miles on it.

I figured there was nothing more special to it other than some aesthics (pink stitching in the black leather seats, pink ribbon badiging, etc)...now to get the dealer to agree to come down to my price (we are almost $2K apart at this time).

This would be a "weekend" car for my wife...
We have already gotten them to come down $3k off of the sticker and another $500 since we said that they are not at our price yet and we would have to think about it.
A "used" 2008 with only 4400 miles on it sure drives nice!

$21,000
We told them we would take it for $19,500.
And it is the only one left in the area (before the 2009's come out).
We went to another Ford dealer afterwards and were looking around and got the salesman there to admit that that was a great deal and they could not come close to that price.....especially since it was the only WIP edition in the area.

Then you might go for it. But on the other hand you wanna get a price you want. So its kinda up to you. I personally might offer them $20,000. Just to see if they would take it.

Well, actually we did not go out looking for a 2008 mustang.
We are going to buy a convertible mustang and were originally looking for a 2004 +/-...a good deal on a used one with relatively low miles.
So this one (and it's price, be it $19500 or $21000) is a little more than we had originally anticipated to spend on a fourth car (my wife drives a 2003 Expedition, I drive a 2007 F150 Supercrew and I have a 1991 modified full size Bronco).

Well then pass it up and go for the 04 vert. You will save yourself a bunch of money. But it all comes down to what you want. Either way your getting a good car.

Definitely a good idea...now to convince the wife that we really ought to pass on the WIP version (with all of its pink highlights, which she really likes) and to continue our search.
Thanks for the comments.
