2005 Mustang GT Door Speaker Replacement

I am replacing the door speakers on my 05 GT, does anyone have specific instructions on removing/installing the cover and speakers? Thanks...

Haven't dealt with an 05 yet. I'd imagine the door panel must be removed to gain access to the speakers eventhough it seems you could simply take off a "grill" that is actually built into the door panel.

If you have the Shaker 500 or 1000 in your car, you will need to be extra careful in replacing the factory door speakers because it's an amplified system. you need to make sure to get aftermarket speakers that will work with the shaker amplified system (if you have it). otherwise you could tear up some nice expensive speakers or if nothing else, end up with badly distorted sound. of course, if you don't have the shaker stereo, then disregard everything i just said.

Yes, if you run a normal speaker on this system it most likely will not sound right without bypassing the factory amps.
