I was at a friends house the last night and while i was there I saw a stang parked out back and went and took a look, it turns out to be a 1994 cobra. Black w/ black leather. After asking why he had it in his back yard and didnt tell me about , i find out it is his brothers and its been sitting for awhile. so long story short I talk to the brother later on and he wants 6000 for it, ive seen them goin for 9-12 thousand online so do you guys think i should snag it up or pass . it has 90k, needs a paint job or just a good buff, and tires.

Does it run? And I still think 6 is steep for a 94 Cobra...

6k is what 93 fox bodies get in good shape and so do the 94/95 gt's (in good shape) I would offer him around 5k for it if its runs good since its not been taken care of.

If the car is in decent shape, I'd say it's worth it.

it is hard to find a 94/95 cobra in good shape and even harder to find a 93... and the kicker is finding one in good shape for a reasonable price... now thats hard.

I bought my 1995 GT 3 years ago, had 27,000, paid 10,000, talked him down from 11,500, Its a lot for an old car, but it was damn mint, and I'm very happy with the purchase.
But with 90k, depending on how it looks, 8-9k maybe, I got people wanting to buy my car now for 8-9k, so it really depends on the buyers in the market

Hmmm, my buddy sold his 95 cobra for 14,000. Probably had like 55,000 miles on it but it was in great shape. I would try to get it for 5 like Spec said.

Drive it to a mechanic and have them look at the thing before you even think about buying it. If no problems arise on the drive over alone I would begin thinking about it. But sitting for that long I would imagine those seals/gaskets are pretty dry.
