yea i know but look at what the website says..
Note: 94-95 V6 Mustangs came prewired from the factory, so no wiring harness is necessary. If you have a 1996 and your build date was after 5/96 you need to check under your front bumper to see if your car is prewired. Your build date can be found on the drivers side door jamb. When looking under front bumper for wiring, look for one small connector hanging down on each side to plug into each foglight. If you do not find these connectors, you will need to order a 97-04 Everything But The Foglights Kit.
is that true? if so that would make my life a whole lot easier.. lol

It sure it, but I still think you need the harness for the interior switch.

get the oem switch if you put a switch inside, it makes it look much cleaner.

Yeah they are pretty much the same as the stock lights just a different lens on the front. I would look for anything by PIAA. Went to a auto store that had a display of them and the lights that I'm gonna get later lit up the wall on the other side with all the shop overhead lights on. Can imagine how well they will work at night!

You're not gonna find any that fit correctly unless you by OEM units.
I bought a kit from VMP a few years back for my 02 with the clear foglights and I'm still using the wiring on my roush front end. Very high quality kits, and they have exactly what you'll need for the OEM look.
I did like matthew at first and put a set of aftermarket rectangular lights in and it just never looked right at all...plus the beam wasn't as good as I would like. It put out alot of light, but not where you needed it, the OEM lights are much better at actually being able to see off of.

The previous owner installed them, and I can say that they have caught fire at the switch twice.
Plus, they give the car the "I'm to half-assed to buy the real fog lights," or the "I'm a V6 owner that didn't care enough" look.
