This is the ONLY reason my wife and I aren't riding right now. Well, then again we promised ourselves if gas hits 4.75 a gallon we're both getting one. But really, it's not that my wife and I don't trust each other to know how to ride responsibly, it's that we don't trust soccer mom in their 3 ton hummer, putting make up on, smoking, and talking to her friends on the celly, or Mr. "i'm ok to drive" guy. I swear if for one day, EVERYONE had to ride a bike(not bicycle), there would be a total change in the way we all drive down the highway.

thats one of the reasons i got rid of my bike. too many idiots around here not paying attention and driving like fucktards, and me being this vulnerable little target. i saw myself becoming a statistic way too fast. now if more people were on bikes or i lived somewhere less populated, then yeah, i will prolly ride again.

my friend and his wife were on his bike sitting at a traffic light and an elderly guy came up behind them, didn't see them or the fact that the light was red and ran right into them, sent him about 20 feet from the bike and set her into a tree to the right of them, thank god for the 2 of them they both lived to tell about it

thats what makes me scared of bikes lol

completely agree. fuck that guy up. i hate how stupid fuckers like that ruin fun stuff for everyone. my parents ride a harley and they encounter people like that every now and then. a guy ran them off the road recently. its like how can u not see them? it was 3 in the afternoon! plus its a harley, how cant u hear it?!

i've been riding for just over a year and a half I suppose, Huntsville is the least bike considerate city i've every been in short of maybe nashville or B-ham.. Maybe

most people believe that its your fault your on the bike in the first place and they're not going to consider your life safety any more than any other car because it was your choice to ride. this is FUBAR logic if you ask me. I always do what I can to insure the safety of a motorcycleler in my pressence even if it means cock blocking some idiot who insists on riding a bikers ass for no apparent reason other than "he's going to slow"

on that note, if im on my bike and your being a dick, expect to get your door kicked or something, whatever it takes to wake your ass up.

well, the truth is that your right. its a dangerous move from a motorcycle, even when a gangster gunslinger isn't involved for the sheer fact that the car is a weapon against your cycle at this point.

BUT, really and truely, I take heavy offence to someone disregarding the saftey of my life when im riding close to them, if they challenge it even futher, like running me off the road or whatever, I have no problem letting them know how I feel.

its the type of situation I hope to never get into.

I don't ride, but Birmingham isn't safe to drive a car in. Much less ride a bike.
