Anyone happen to know the weight, actual RWHP, HP N TQ at crank of a stock 1999 Convertible V6 Stang?? The reason im asking is cause a guy w/ a 02 GT Coupe all stock w/ auto tranny wants to race me at the track after i get my nitrous kit all finished, he says he can be beat w/ N2o. I'll be running a .040 jet which is around a 72 hp jet w/ Actual HP to wheels est of 61.2 hp. Who do think will win??(Take Votes on who gonna win)
Also i would like to know what the weight of our guys stangs are as well, just figure it would be some good info to know???

Weight = 3150~ for hardtop with manual tranny (add 75-100 for auto tranny and 125-150 for convertible)
Actual RWHP 135-140 for auto 145-155 for manual
Actual RWTQ 165-175 for auto 175-185 for manual
Stock Crank hp/tq 190/225 peak at 5250rpm
You are running mid 16s in the quarter mile stock with auto and high 15s to mid 15s with a manual.
Wtih your mods and 75 shot expect about a second off your times, basically he will still be faster than you will be even if he is stock (14.0-14.2 quarter mile time on average) if his car is a manual and he is an average driver.

Cool thank you SpectorV thats exactly the info i was lookin for. So the GT i'm gonna race is a Auto and he used to have a 98 v6 Auto and i raced him with that car and i dont think he knows how to race cause i beat him by 4 car lenghts in about a 1/4 mile. So i am hoping he dont know how to race that GT and maybe i'll have a chance to win. But still like you said my car weights about 150 lbs more then his since he has a Auto. I told my brother you better ride with him cause he'll add about 200 more pounds to his car

bone stock i ran 15.8 (2.2 60') and with bolt ons and a tune i ran 15.0 (2.2 60'....cant launch) and put down 19- rwhp and 22- rwtq through an auto, and thats w/ letting the motor warm all the way up.....the dyno sheet is at the speed shop in a file. i need to get it but i think i'll go back b/c i really wanna break 200rwhp where i am at now.
i cant wait to throw 4.10s in this bitch
btw, the (-) represents a number that i cant recall

Do you got a Conv or coupe?? So the factory says its putting out 190 hp?? Is that at the crank or?? Thats a lot of power lost from 190 to 140 at the wheels, now does that same theory apple to the 02 GT's as well, not sure what the hp is on one but just say for example its puttin out 260 so that means its only getting about 240 ti the wheels??
Sorry for all the stupid questions i'll learn about all this stuff eventually.

i think you have more than 140 to the ground.....i would say 160, then with the spray it would make for a good race

Forget the exact number but you lose about 18% thru the drive train for a 5 speed ,higher lose for a auto
I'm sure someone will correct me if I got the % wrong

thats not exactly how it works, plus he has much more tq than you (302@4k~)
He will be VERY lucky to put over 140 to the wheels... no where near 160 with only a couple mods.

So you mean to tell me a conv auto V6 comes from the factory with less then 140 hp to the wheels WOW that is just stupid i guess its just time to get rid of this six and get a car that has more power such as a GT or maybe a Cobra. So basicly w/o a turbo or supercharger i will be equal in HP to HONDA ACCORD 4 door car .
Also i figured in the weight of my Auto tranny

The manual transmission takes right at 17.5 percent of the power from the engine, so on a manual expect 156rwhp stock and 180rwtq
for an auto its 22%~ its actually 148 so I did my math wrong
You just need to get a dyno pull done to really see, you cant just go by numbers... and even dynos are not 100% accurate all the time.
