This is what a 2010 Boss 429 should look like from a designers point of view. What do you think? I would love for the Boss 429 to come back but not sure if I care for this look.

i dunno how i feel about this. i'm liking the front in, but in the rear 1/4 panels, it looks like it jumps up a good 6 inches... almost close to how a vette is in the rear. i'm liking the look though... and the rims.

Sort of has the curvy lines of one of the camaro concepts that first came out. To me the mustang has always had a sort of boxy shape except for my body style and some other styles from back in the day. But I would love to see an affordable Boss 429 model come out though!

If/when it comes down to Earth as a production model, I can see it looking good. The wheels kick ass.

As long as it's 429 ci, not horsepower, like what Roush decided to do. Don't know what block they'd use though.
It needs some refining but it's WELL on it's way

If it will happen and it probably won't have a 429 ci motor as Ford is suppossiable making 5.8, 6.2, and 6.4 liter versions of their new Boss motors. But theres so little info about the new motors that I think its anyone guess. The Mustang is suppose to get the small version of the Boss V-8 from what I've read though. I hope they do make a bad ass car like this though and call it Mustang Cobra to try and keep some of the dealer markups down

I don't really see why Ford is so obsessed with bringing back these old nameplates. They obviously aren't going to put a 429 cubic inch motor in them. Why not make a new legend instead of trying to recreate old ones?

I agree. It would be great to have a new beast come up instead of redoing all the things that are already legends.

Simple, cause its working for Dodge, so they think it'll work for them even though we all saw what happen to the thunderbird
As for the concept front rear

The problem for the thunderbird had nothing to do with looks or styling or performance...the problem with the thunder was the $40+K sticker...nobody in their right mind would pay that much money for a thunderbird, that's just insane to even consider...
and apparently it hasn't worked for Dodge as Daimler just sold off the Chrysler brand last month for like 15% of what they paid for it when they bought it...talk about a huge financial failure...

i never mentioned anything about the looks. Bunt asked why they are taking classic nametages and reusing it. Hence my comment that i made

maybe it's just me, but I think companies are hitting the futuristic look waay too fast here recently.
I'm not sure I like this yet.

God damn ford... live off the past a little bit more.

I'm not a huge fan of the retro look, but it has sold pretty well for Ford the last few year, and for that I am glad because about everything else beside the Mustang and F-150 is really not doing so good.
