Is there such thing as a MIL eliminator for a pre-'96 Mustang?
I figured that the 96-04 ones (such as those from Steeda) would work but according to their tech support they wont becuase of the upstream sensors on the pre-'96s.
I have a '95 and I really want to get rid of this CEL for catalyst threshold without having to mess with replacing O2 sensors or catalyst.
What are my options?

Also, is it bad to drive around with this particular CEL on until I figure out how to fix it?
Is it going to screw with my A/F ratio if it thinks my O2 sensor is giving bad readings?

You have 4 O2's on that car. The rear two are there just to tell the computer that your cats are working/not working. The ones nearest the engine are the ones that determine A/F ratio.
No it won't mess with anything. The only thing that computer thinks right now is that it has no cats, i.e. your computer is trying to tell you there is a fault with your cats(when we all know they are not present) and that you need to have them checked out. Just get you some MIL's. It won't hurt a thing until you get the MIL's. The only bad thing is, if your car has any other problems and tries to throw a CEL, you won't notice it because it would already be on because of your cats.

Ok, thanks.
So would the Steeda MIL eliminators work on my car? Like i said before, when I emailed them they said that they wouldn't becuase they were only for 96+ cars, any idea whether this is true or not? I'm not sure which O2 sensors the Steeda (or other knock-offs) are meant to replace...so I'm kind of confused...

Wait wait wait.... What year car are we talking about again? Never mind 1995
If your car is pre 1996, you don't need the MIL's because you only have 2 O2 sensors. You should be able to pull the cats off and not worry about a CEL. If you CEL light is on, you need to go somewhere that has a OBD I code reader and see what is wrong with the car.

Right, thats what I thought.
What are the possibilities of what is wrong? Exhaust leak at the manifold? Bad O2 sensor? Exhaust leak somewhere else?

It'd be like me trying to put a 1000 piece puzzle together blindfolded with no hands.
Just go somewhere with an OBD I scanner and have it checked out.

Well I know what code it is throwing....it has an OBD-II port.
It was giving a P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2) CEL.
I'm just not sure what is causing it....
Could be a cracked manifold...leaking manifold...bad catalyst....bad O2 sensor...a bunch of stuff..

Thanks for the advice!
I might try and find the nice (the kind you don't have to splice) MILs on ebay or something because Steeda charges outrageously for a couple of harness connectors and a resistor.
One more question...I didn't have time to lift my car and check it this weekend...does my car have 2 O2 sensors that need to be eliminated or how many? Trying to figure out how many of these things I need to buy...

Yep two that have to be "eliminated." They are the two right next to the crossover tube.

Thanks for the advice, again.
I assume it will work doing it on the front O2 sensors instead of the back ones like the 96+ cars have...I'm pretty sure they report the same voltage back to the ECU anyway...

Like I said, I didn't get a chance to check yet...
Haynes manual says there are 2 upstream and 2 downstream, but the manual is for 94-00 cars...so I'm thinking it could be different...otherwise, why would all the MIL eliminators out there say they are only for 96+ cars?
