Got rear-ended on my way home from work today. The back bumper of the TA is tore up pretty good. My expensive ass Corsa exhaust is totally fucked. :pissed:
It seems that my life has become a long series of miserable events.

Yes. Fortunately they did. One of the bonuses of working on a military base is that they're really big on enforcing that kind of stuff.

dam bad week for Fbody's. my boss' 02 SS was rear ended as well. at least theyre both fix-able.

eh thats not that bad actually. should see my boss'. big rig hit his drivers rear which pushed the rear quarter up, jacked his rear hatch, spoiler is done, destroyed his slp exhaust. my boss remembered to let off the brakes and put it in neutral so the impact wasnt a semi hitting a stopped car trying to stay stopped, it was a semi hitting a moveable object, so in essence it nudged him off the road. the semi then continued and careened into a minivan and turned it into a sport compact. the minivan driver layed on the brakes and thus took all that energy of the impact.
theyre fixing it but hes still looking into getting a vette.

didnt you just get the front fix due to that car wash incident?

Yeah...The car wash incident was a couple of months ago. So, it's not like I just got it back. But it wasn't long ago.
I backed it onto ramps yesterday and checked out the exhaust. It doesn't look as bad as I was afraid it might. Might need a new over the axle piece and the tips need some polishing, but it's not a total loss. So hopefully their insurance company will pay me for it and then I can fix it. :chin:

That's because most of the driving that gets done is within 5 miles of your house.
Here's a map of where I work: The blue marker in the northwest corner is where I work, the blue marker on the southeast corner is my house, and the green arrow is where the rear-ending occurred. It's 6.4 miles by road from my house.
