power shortage

ok sooooo idk i should have asked this first before anything.. my car is running fine n doesnt really seem like there is n e thing wrong with em but last week one day i tried to turn it on n it was just completely dead.. i have a new battery so i know fo sho thats not it.. but like now i turn on the car n my clock light is on but when i turn my headlights on the clock turns off.. i dont get it.. lol n e ideas?

Do you have any kind of aftermarket stereo? i.e. subs, amp, etc.? How old is the alternator on your car?

yea i got a aftermarket radio nothin else really.. but my alternator is old.. so yea.. idk u think that is the reason? cuz i mean i thought that at first but before i take action i want some opinions lol

take teh alt off and take it to an autozone or Napas and get the Alt tested so you know for sure
