Just cross posting from 4wdevolution to be a picture whore....
I was going to buy a pair (range from $200-300 a set), but I decided to makee a pair myself ($93 for box to make 2 sets). I got the drivers side finished (aside from boxing in the ends) in about 2 1/2 hours, I should get the other side done a little faster I hope.
This is my first real fabrication project and my welding improved so much over the course of the day; I never realized how much wire speed affects the quality of a weld. My only complaint is how much slag the flux-core throws around, but as soon as I Herculine it all you won't even be able to tell.
Per side, I used (all 3/16" thickness): 5' of 2"x2", 21" of 2"x1", 2 pieces of 4"x3" plate, and some small pieces of plate for where the sliders attach to th rocker pinch seem and to box in the 2"x2" square.
Mocked up; they actually hang slightly lower after fabbing (to make room for the rocker pinch seem) and out further (more protection):

Put my initials in the side for fun, lol:
My decent (better than the bird crap I used to lay) welds:
