hi, I own a 90 mustang 5.0. I wanna make the car somewhat faster, but I'm not sure what to put on to it or even what to look at. I was hoping some of you out there could give me some suggestions

Go with a NICE head/cam/intake package and if it needs it or you can spare the money rebuild the engine and upgrade the internals a bit or stroke it. That will make you very happy. AFR heads are great so look into them... but you can go cheaper and save a ton and still get some good power.
Do a TON of research on a cam... most just toss in an E303 cam and assume its the best... it is not.
I am moving this to 5.0L forum to help you get some better answers.

Honestly, don't touch the cam right off the bat. Spend your money on other parts because there's no point in slapping in a cam for a combination that you're just going to be upgrading later anyway. A stock 5.0L roller cam is quite capable of producing power up to point where you can possibly have to worry about your stock 5.0L block, so unless you're instantly building something really crazy, concentrate on spending your cash elsewhere first because you'll get better results from other mods first.
Now, depending on what's already done, and what you're looking at for a budget, go with subframes first to stiffen the chassis before adding more power, then look at stuff like exhaust, gears, heads, intake, blower and suspension.
