2008 V6 Southern Race * DATE CHANGE*

OK we have confirmation on the Alabama International Dragway in Steele, Al.
We have two dates set up Saturday March 29th and April 12 .2008 .
The April date was set up just in case we get rained out .
The track will open at 8:30 AM and we have it until 4:00 PM
The concession stand will be open so no worries there and I will remind them again before the race so we don't experience the slip up we did in Georgia.
The hotel info is on the race web site as well. Official V6 Challenge Site
We encourage you guys to sign up ASAP , it helps us out to know how many people are planning to show up . The price to race will be the same as last year $50.00 per class, the track ending being higher than we anticipated so we had to stay with the same entry fee .
The registration on the site is ready to go.
Tech will be performed before you can hit the track , there will be no exceptions to this if some people want to Volunteer for this we would love the help.
For the traction concerns , the last time we were at this track the track was pretty darn good . and I did mention in the e-mail the track needs to be in GOOD condition because we will have 130+ MPH cars there . We highly recommend that if traction is a big concern you need to have the proper tires , again street tires provide very poor traction at the track .
We also need Volunteers to help run the race so if you don't plan on racing and you want to be a part of the event we will not charge the volunteers any fee to gain entrance to the race but you will need to get with Kirk , Matt or myself so we know who is interested .
Sponsors are needed to make this event work we can not do it without them , so if you know of someone who might be willing to help sponsor the race please contact Matt , Kirk or myself and we can add them to the web site as a sponsor after the payment is received .
We would like to see a good turn out for this race so get the word out early and often , tell your friends or anyone else that may be interested in participating .

Please note we have moved the event date one week later to Saturday March 29th.
The original date was Easter Weekend.

Well now that I'm in my new position I'll make sure I'm off that saturday lol. Don't have a V6 anymore but I really enjoyed the last event at Steele.
BTW...if you still need volunteers count me in, all I ask is a run or two inbetween classes or something lol.
