I am going to be visiting my g/f's family this weekend in Trussville, AL (just north of bham)...Is anyone familiar with or ever run at the drag strip in Steele, AL? If so, what is it like? Will anyone be up there this friday night for midnight madness or any other times over the weekend? I like to go out to new tracks and meet new people if anyone is up for it...let me know

I've been there before. It's nothing special. Never ran on it before however so I can't tell you what that is like. It's in decent condition though.

There is also a Lassiter Mountain Dragway in Mount Olive, AL which isn't too far outside of birmingham, anyone know anything about that track?

I believe that other one in Mount Olive (if it's the one I'm thinking of) is closed this season because it is being remade into a 1/8. One of the 1/4 tracks near Bham I know is closed for that reason don't know if it's that one. But I have heard good things about Steele.
