Does anyone play Magic The Gathering??? I know I'm a HUGE dork for admitting this, but 10th edition comes out Friday and we've already preordered a booster box.

haha, i actually owned one deck way back when i was in middle school.. that was it.. just one deck i bought off my friend.
i also had star wars ccg from 5th-7th grade. i think i still might have those as well. i quit shortly after cloud city expansion came out.

Yeah, I a friend of mine lent me one of his Star Wars decks... I didn't like the whole playing "land" as a place to do battle thing. Sometimes the games were huge...

lol My cards are buried under my bed somewhere...Chris Becker (with the black Si hatch) and i get the cards out once in a while and play...

You wouldn't want to part with them would you???  I need some old stuff that I can't get my hands on. I sold my old cards years ago for like 20 bucks and have regretted it twice now. Fortunately when I got into it the second time, I kept the cards. Now here I am on my third time getting back into it.

Not particularly...as some are down here but most cards worth anything are up in new jersey at my parents house and i wont be going up there for a while...but when I do get up there again, i will definitely get them so i can kick your a$$

[nerdness] A friend of brandy and I's is pretty into it and his roomate is such and such certified judge, so he has the rules down PAT. They said they used to play a lot at the union at state a few years ago, but stopped. Maybe since 10th edition is coming out, it'll start again.[/nerdness]
Really I just want to look through some of them and see if I can't remember some of the old stuff so I know what to look for on EBay

I am embarrassed to say that I, at one time, back in 8th grade, knew how to play this game. I am glad, however to say that I never got into it, and only played it for about a month before i realized how weird it was.

our entire drafting department plays during lunch. the manager makes sure to hire only those that play Magic.
went in there one day and it was quite a sight.

Actually... I play. I have thought about going to a booster draft this weekend but probably wont (for 10th release)
I used to be hard core in it like 6 years ago... I had everything (power 9, 4 of all dual lands and much much more...sad to think about how much shit I had and dont anymore.. I should have kept it (NEVER SELL IT!)) but I sold all my shit and just recently purchased all of my cousins cards for a bit of green and i am starting back up but I will not be so hard core, mainly just block tournaments and such to keep it cheap~
I just got done building my block WW deck and its been doing pretty good.

What colors/types of decks did/do yall play with?
My deck of choice was always a green speed deck...man would it piss people off...lots of 1/1 creatures, give me a couple turns and i could have 10+ creatures out to a typical deck's 1...as long as the game didnt go past 10 or so turns, i could win easily...past that and i was screwed...
