exhaust 0/2 sensor elimenators, are they need?

Hey, I have a 96 GT and just had the local exhaust shop run full dual exhaust for me. no X or H pipe, but got rid of the cats and added 2 4o series flowmasters. If I dont buy eliminators can it cause my car to run crappy. My car seems to run great for a while but I have a hour drive to and from work each night and live in south florida, and by the time I get home it feels like im pulling a boat.
could this be because my o/2 arent hooked up anymore? Do the eliminators just help with the check engine light?
My car just seems to have good day and bad ones....I appricate any help.

The no H or X-pipe was a mistake. The pipes cross over for a reason.

All 90* V8s have an imbalance in firing order which results in two cylinders on the same bank firing almost simultaneously every couple of crank turns. This means they are both trying to dump exhaust into the same header at nearly the same time. By having a crossover pipe, some of the air is allowed to move over to the other pipe for an even distribution. You've essentially killed this ability.

I would recommend you buy some MIL eliminators and throw a good midpipe on there (I personally like the MAC Pro-Chamber).

Not to mention the fact that you should have some form of crossover for motor safety...someone could easily put a potato or something in your tailpipe, and well, without a crossover, you could be having a bad day...

I know I should have dont some sort of crossover, but damm just to run the exhaust like I did was $450, would have been up wards of $700 for a cross over. I couldnt justify the money on a car I dont really race, just use as a work car and cruise with. I thought the X pipe was mainly for horse power and didnt think spending an extra $250 (with welded install) was worth it. Maybe I was wrong. I will try and get the Mils. I appricare eveyones advice.

I got my offroad h pipe for $169 its a bolt on took 15 min on a lift.The catback bolt's right too it.My full exhaust mid pipe back was only $300

dude i got my x pipe for about the same as the other guy and mils are like 60 bucks and it takes like 15 mins on a lift i dont understand the logic behind that you didnt do any research?

Youve gotta give some props to the people that design the cars and the aftermarket parts for them. so if nobody makes it, it probably isnt worth a shit or a very good idea to install it without some research.
