I have an 04 3.8 auto with 3.73 FRPP, Sniper tuner and BBK fenderwell CAI. My next mod will be exhaust. Heres my q... Instead of just a bolt on exhaust, I wanted to know if it would be beneficial to get headers to go with a custom dual setup? Less time off the road since its my dd. Also, I have heard of problems with Moto blue pullies, anyone know about this? I want to have these done soon so any info would be appreciated.
Thanks, Jeremy

You won't notice any gains/losses doing headers right now. If you are planning on actually building the engine in the future, you could invest in a good set of longtubes and run a custom exhaust back from that.
For now however, going with a dual setup with your choice of mufflers will be what you want.

shorty headers are near worthless unless you are above 300bhp on the 3.8

I apprecitate the info. However, I also wanted to know about the Motoblue pullies? I have heard that they tend to crack and warp under high heat. I live in Dallas so this may pose a problem. Again, any info would be great.

I've never heard of Motoblue, so I would probably stick with ASP.

I read that a few of the guys on moddedmustang had some problems with them warping and cracking under heat. Thats the only reason I was asking. Here is the link to the motoblue pullies....

I know that vmp has some asp pullies for the v6. Anyway, thanks guys.

Hm...anyone notice any gains with underdrive pullys? Also, how is the install? Easy to do yourself or pay someone to do it?

I did my underdrive pulley install in 20 minutes. This was my 2nd mod ever. I was a noob back then, it took me a half hour to figure out how to put my cold air together.
I felt some power. I would recommend them.
